WHEN: Saturday 13th June
WHERE: Princess Theatre, 8 Annerley Road, Woolloongabba.
An innovative new show collaborating abstract visual art and street dance. Breaking the mould of the usual Brisbane street dance show, Shade strives to engage the audience throughout the show with the use of creative projections, fusion choreography and unique abstract art.
Created by Brisbane choreographer Wanida Serce, Shade features some of Brisbane’s leading choreographers such as internationally accredited Lizzie Wicks, Chè Pritchard and Mariana Paraizo. Supplying Shade with the one of a kind Visual Art is a unique team of local Artists including Kasper, Liam Herne and Dave Behrens.
Motivated by a recent teaching and dance training trip to the US, Wanida has been inspired to create a platform that exposes upcoming and established artists from both industries, pushes performers to become active in creating work and culture in the dance community and supports the need for more live and performance art in Brisbane.
On June 13th see some of Brisbane’s best performers bring amazing pieces of visual art to life on stage through urban movement at the Princess Theatre.
