Muk Muk Fine Art is welcoming the summer months with a new exhibition all about expressive colour. Showcasing a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues this exhibition is set to overload the senses.
Exhibiting in ‘La Galerie’ within the Sofitel Brisbane Central in Turbot St, “Summer Shades” contains large, bold works from a range of celebrated Central Australian Aboriginal artists.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a striking 2 metre x 3 metre painting by Kiwirrkurra artist Patrick Tjungurrayi.
Patrick is a senior Law man who looks after ceremony and country between Balgo and Kiwirrkurra in Western Australia and Kintore in Central Australia. He portrays his country and ancestral stories within his paintings. Patrick's works are sought after by collectors worldwide. In 2009 he was the winner of the prestigious Western Australia Indigenous Art Award.
