After a number of petitions and protests from Brisbane Heritage and outraged locals, the Environment and Heritage Protection MP has called for the Brisbane City Council to halt the demolition of the Margaret Street Bonded Stores. Hallefuckinglujah!
The buildings, believed to be over 100 years old were approved for demolition in December to make way for a temporary park.
Brisbane Heritage is now running a final petition to make sure these beautiful buildings can be protected. To do so they need to gain approval from the Queensland Heritage Council, and for this they need your help!
If you've already signed the previous petitions, help with the final push to stop the madness and save the Bonded Stores by sending a submission to the Council.
Make it known that Queenslanders want to see our precious heritage buildings protected by signing the petition and sharing it on Facebook and Twitter.
